Rocket Attack From Lebanon Strikes Major Highway Near Tel Aviv

A rocket launched from Lebanon on Tuesday hit a key highway just outside Tel Aviv, injuring at least two individuals, according to authorities. In response, new restrictions on gatherings were imposed, and the military braced for potential escalations with Hezbollah. Overnight, Israel conducted a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon.

Warnings were issued for millions of Israelis, spanning from the northern Galilee region down to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, shortly after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) advised Lebanese civilians to move north of the Litani River. Troops began positioning themselves in villages along the border, hinting at a possible escalation in the conflict after weeks of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.

The rocket strike on Tuesday morning marked the first to hit central Israel since the ground campaign began. Northern Israel was also hit by dozens of rockets, and a drone attack near Tel Aviv, which was intercepted, was later claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who are aligned with Hezbollah and Iran.
